THE FUTURE OF NORTHWESTERN HILLEL
Northwestern Hillel offers both a safe space and a brave space. Student needs and interests continue to grow, and we intend to continue to be on the cutting edge of innovation in the Jewish future.

A Need for Enhanced Space at 629 Foster
Since the Fiedler Hillel building was created in the late 1990s, Northwestern Hillel has enjoyed tremendous growth in the breadth and depth of its programs. The limitations of the current building creates significant challenges, as it was not designed to host a large number of students and a wide array of activities taking place simultaneously.
Northwestern Hillel needs your help to ensure that Jewish life at Northwestern continues to flourish and grow.
LEADING THE WAY
Northwestern Hillel received a two million dollar gift from Abel and Judy Friedman to support Hillel’s efforts to expand activities that enrich Jewish student life and learning at the University.
It is the largest single gift in the organization’s 85-year history.
"It is an honor for us to be able to enhance the extracurricular endeavors Northwestern provides to its students, and particularly to enable those offered by Northwestern Hillel to thrive and grow," said Abel Friedman.
"I am truly inspired by Abel and Judy Friedman's tremendous commitment to creating significant opportunities for Northwestern students to explore their Judaism and engage with one another, regardless of their religious background."

"Hillel has given me an immediate community. Here, I can stay connected to my Jewish life and widen my social circles which have been extremely helpful in making the transition to college.”
