Northwestern University

The relationship with Northwestern University has developed over the years to span many departments and areas of the University. While Hillel and the University have a strong relationship on many levels, this relationship requires constant maintenance. Some of those important relationships include:

  • Office of the President

  • Office of Religious and Spiritual Life

  • Crown Family Center for Jewish and Israel Studies

  • Medill School of Journalism

Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metro Chicago and The Hillels of Illinois (THOI)

The Hillels of Illinois adds value, support, and guidance to Northwestern Hillel. Through programs and opportunities such as the Lewis Summer Intern Program, Israel Education Center, and Israel travel opportunities - THOI and JUF have continued to provide meaningful Jewish experiences for the Jewish students of Northwestern. The Hillels of Illinois also provides significant funding annually to Northwestern Hillel.

Hillel International (Schusterman International Center)

Hillel International works with campuses in a number of ways to provide some essential services. Northwestern Hillel’s staff gain professional development from their annual Hillel International Global Assembly in Orlando, Florida. SIC also provides support and organizes Northwestern Hillel’s Birthright trips, provides training to our staff and coordinates with the tour companies as well as Birthright itself.
