Tamir Haik

Jewish Agency for Israel Fellow

Tamir joined Northwestern Hillel as an Israel Fellow in August 2026. Originally from a moshav in the Tel Aviv metropolitan area, he studied Business Administration with a focus on Digital Innovation at Reichman University (formerly IDC Herzliya). During his studies, he also spent a semester abroad as an exchange student in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Before joining Northwestern Hillel, Tamir spent four years working as a counselor for adults with special needs. He has also always had an interest in biblical stories.
As an Israel Fellow, Tamir hopes to help students discover their own unique connection to Israel, while strengthening and deepening that connection for those who have already found it.

Outside of Hillel, Tamir enjoys listening to blues, going to the theatre, reading fiction, and spending time at the beach.

Northwestern Hillel is an initiative of the Jewish United Fund, supported by Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life.

Northwestern Hillel is a member of the Jewish Leadership Circle (JLC), which recognizes Jewish institutions for their commitments to support alternatives to factory farming — a root cause of injustice for humans, animals, and the environment. Our Hillel was awarded membership for committing to reduce the volume of animal products we serve by at least 20 percent.
