Hadas Daniel Altshuler

Jewish Agency for Israel Fellow

Hadas Daniel currently serves as a first-year Jewish Agency for Israel Fellow. She was born into a mixed Jewish-Muslim family of 11 siblings(!), she grew up partly in a Jewish town, partly in a Muslim Arab village, and has spent most of her adult life living in a Kibbutz and in Tel Aviv. Hadas received her education within a Kibbutz framework that emphasized coexistence and environmental management.

She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Crisis Management from Bar Ilan University. In recent years, she has dedicated herself to daily volunteer work with Lone soldiers, alleviating loneliness among the elderly and she led a leadership program for 7th-grade girls.

Hadas loves running and has set a goal to participate in the 2025 Chicago Marathon, a prospect that already excites her. She enjoys being constantly on the move, preferring to be outside in the sun and spending hours on trips and do outdoor activities.

Northwestern Hillel is an initiative of the Jewish United Fund, supported by Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life.

Northwestern Hillel is a member of the Jewish Leadership Circle (JLC), which recognizes Jewish institutions for their commitments to support alternatives to factory farming — a root cause of injustice for humans, animals, and the environment. Our Hillel was awarded membership for committing to reduce the volume of animal products we serve by at least 20 percent.
